it is a contagious fungal infection that affects the skin on the feet. It can also spread to the toenails and the hands (rarely )
The fungal infection is called athlete’s foot because it’s commonly seen in athletes, due to the consistent wearing of fitted footwears
Athlete’s foot isn’t serious, but sometimes it’s hard to cure, some people deal with it for years, it makes for footwear smell after a long time and If you have diabetes or a weakened immune system it gets tougher to cure.
Home cure for Athletes foot
50 ml of Witch hazel
20 drops of tea tree essential oil
Mix in a spray bottle and apply morning and before bedtime.
Everyday use for 1 month
You can do the ‘NEAT’ applying only tea tree essential oil — applying 3 drops of essential oil on a cotton pad, and clean affected area with it.
This can only be done for 3 days – 5 days because essential oils are concentrated
Soak feet in a bowl of apple cider vinegar for 36 mins
250 ml apple cider vinegar would be fine
